D 1490: Belgrade to Istanbul

The night train from Belgrade via Sofia to Istanbul runs from June 2. The train consists of a couchette car which is conveyed by the day train from Belgrade to Sofia, where it is attached to the night train from Sofia to Istanbul.

You can travel all the way from Belgrade to Istanbul in a couchette car. If you want you can also travel from Belgrade to Sofia in a regular 2nd class car and change there to a sleeping car for the way to Istanbul.

The train terminate at Halkali station on the outskirts of Istanbul. To get to the city centre a shuttle bus to Sirkeci station is provided.

The timings are for valid for summertime until October 28; from October 29 timings in Turkey are +1 hour (arrival Halkali 07:49).
