The high-speed Eurostar train connects London with Paris and Brussels through the Channel Tunnel and is the fastest way to get from the UK to the continent. Individual connections run from London to Marseille, Disneyland Paris and Bourg St Maurice in the French Alps. Other routes are from Paris to Brussels, Amsterdam and Cologne.

There are three categories of Eurostar tickets:

‘Eurostar Standard‘: Tickets are exchangeable and refundable. Two large pieces of luggage and a small daypack/handbag are allowed. Free Wi-Fi is available.

‘Eurostar Plus’: In addition, you have access to particularly spacious seats and light meals and drinks are served at your seat.

‘Eurostar Premier": In addition to the above services, you have access to an exclusive lounge at the stations in London, Paris and Brussels. Priority boarding. And a nice meal and drinks will be served at your seat. You can also take three large items of luggage with you. And finally, you can even exchange your tickets and get a refund up to 48 hours after departure.

Eurostar operates a fleet of older ‘TMST’ (Trans Manche Super Train) and newer ‘Velaro 320’ high-speed trains.

TMST:

- two bistro cars where you can get snacks and drinks
- the trains are currently being modernised and equipped with Wi-Fi and power outlets, among other things

Velaro 320:
- power sockets at every seat

When travelling with Eurostar, passengers with Standard and Plus tickets must check in at the station no later than 30 minutes before departure. Passengers with Premier tickets must check in no later than 10 minutes before departure.
